If Lincolns were outlawed in '79 or '80 or thereabouts, then it's probably safe to say that most, if not all, of those Lincolns used to cause this ruling were from the 60s or earlier. Better yet, maybe the fabled suicide door specials.

like J.R. says, cut the oldest Conty Town Cars allowed to '70 or newer, maybe even 'officially' allow the Mark IV and Mark V (even though a V already slipped in last season)... so basically, no Mark II or Mark III and no pre '70 Town Cars. There, done. A great compromise to MOPAR's fantasyland.

I would like to add that I think that if we limit Lincolns to TWO per team, per round (2nd. and 3rd.) it should be do-able.

The concerns that I have been hearing from drivers from other teams are that they don't want to be stuck "racing against another team that brings out all Lincolns".

If we limit the Lincolns to just TWO PER TEAM, PER ROUND (SECOND AND THIRD), that should eliminate that fear, and give everybody a fair shot at having a chance to use these cars in our races.

i think they are both hard to find and to much$$$$$ thats why i was for 2 rounds of 80's and i know that scenerio would happen.
