Couple of questions:

1). Did better minds prevail and not allow fuel injection cars?
2). Will there be a "set of guidelines" for the spectator cars?
3). If the TDA is looking for another venue in the future ... has Kankakee Speedway been considered?

Ya know I better wait/get some clarification on #1.

Electric fuel pumps are outlawed. I'd wait for a more informed source to jump in on fuel injectors.

Well there whippersnapper, unless someone tries to run a '58 'Vette FI setup, there's going to be an electric fuel pump. So if a car with factory FI shows up, the pump will be electric. That's the big fear--- a pump that won't shut off during a fire, hence the scare of fuel injection.

alright gotcha. Didn't want to use them interchangeably if there was a huge difference. See, that's what I (don't) pay you for.

basics as it stands:

spectator and figure 8 cars-
108wb minimum
no Elky's Rancheros, etc.
may run windshield, but can remove it
other trim, mirrors must be removed
battery must be moved inside the vehicle
boat tank required in a safe area
ballast allowed in gas tank
no additional weight allowed
doors must be belted or welded
drivers door bar allowed
minor bumper reinforcement allowed



truck races-
similar rules as cars
any trucks/vans/SUVs, including Rancheros, Elkys, except:
-no minivans
-no 1-tons or larger
-no duallies

They need that info on Wecrash so we can have some
fresh blood at the first spectator race.

So what were the results of the meeting. Are we going to have 8 team? Do we have owners for those 8 teams? Do the 8 teams look competitive? There has been so little posted, those of us not in the loop but who are HUGE fans want to know, LOL.

The owners for 7 of the 8 teams were in attendance and plenty of representatives from the other team were present. This was very well attended with several faces in the crowd perhaps not committed to a certain team just yet.

I plan on updating the team rosters with as much info as I have very soon. Team #4's 2010 lineup is actually already online.

I think we're in for an amazing year. More racing, more for the fans and a strong sense of team work and readiness for the season verse the beginning of last year.

After the free for all fairground fiasco of 2008, and the Team 4 follies of 2009, anyone that takes street tires out there again will be shot on site or Crazy Art will be dispatched, whichever gets there first.

so wait...i cant run an F350 single cab similar to what I ran last year or are you saying nothing over a 1 ton??

The rules as I'm reading right now say "under 1-ton", so probably not. I don't think the under 1-ton rule was set in stone last season.

I remember Ford making an F250 with HD option, 7/8 ton or thereabout, in that same era of your F350

well as far as i know...its a 250 with one ton suspension...so seems legal to me.
